A few years ago I had a new student who was put into my second grade classroom because of his age. He had never been to school before. He would crawl under his desk and bark like a dog.

What's My Name?

I have a kindergardener who can't spell his name because he doesn't know what his name is. His family has always called him, "Gordito". (little fat one)

We also have kindergardeners who think their names are Mi'jo and Mi'ja. (Spanish endearments for children)
